Show Us Your Shorts (SUYS) is a submission based festival of short
films begun as practicum for Film 441: Film Festivals class by
University of Calgary undergraduate students in 2009. It continues to
grow out of the University in its second year for 2010.
SUYS believes festivals have the unique ability to generate and
collegiate community, and film the ability to express immediate
concepts, ideas, and images shaping our worlds. SUYS aims to promote
and vocalize local, national, and international interests through
limitless genre and convention, while keeping the “festive” in film.
We strive to build positive relationships within our own and extended
communities by ensuring the accessibility of film as art, expression,
and medium.
